Truck-mounted blowers provide robust and portable options for various cleanup tasks and material transportation requirements. These systems use a strong vacuum and a sturdy storage container to remove solids, liquids, sludges or slurries effectively. Eurus Blower recently introduced the ZCS 824 vacuum truck blower to the market as a direct replacement option for popular models.
“This blower is dimensionally interchangeable with the Roots 824 RCS, serving as a drop-in replacement,” says Roger Blanton, general manager for Eurus Blower. “This exciting ZCS 824 blower offers our customers a greater selection of high-quality blowers.”
The ZCS 824 is a heavy-duty blower designed with integral shaft ductile iron impellers. The blower is center timed for rotation in either direction. The precisely aligned gears and bearings offer consistent and superior performance at an affordable price. Rugged, detachable steel mounting feet allow configuration in either vertical or horizontal to meet installation requirements. The headplates, gear cover, end cover and rigid, one-piece casing are grey iron. Carburized and ground alloy steel spur timing gears are taper mounted on the shafts, secured with a locknut. Cylindrical roller bearings are used on the drive end with ball bearings on the gear end. Piston rings reduce air leakage through the shaft openings in the headplates, and lip-type oil seals prevent lubricant from entering the air chamber and provide oil-free compression.
“The ZCS product introduction complements recent ZDL Bulk Truck Blower, EBox Factory Standard Packages, ISB Series Screw Blower, VR Series (steam blower) product introductions and growing success with our multistage centrifugal product,” says Blanton. “Eurus Blower’s customer service focus is unmatched in the North American market as we continue meeting customer needs.”
The blower provides a flow range to 4,460 cfm, a maximum pressure of 15 psi, maximum vacuum of 18 inches Hg, 880 to 2,470 rpm, and free air of 5,187 cfm. It features splash oil lubrication and a high volumetric efficiency.
“This is just the newest offering to the positive displacement bi-lobed rotor and tri-lobed rotor blowers, multistage centrifugal blowers, screw blowers and factory packages we manufacture,” says Blanton. “We’ve received very positive market feedback on the ZCS 824 so far.”
