Felling Trailer holds annual auction to benefit Backing the Blue Line
Felling Trailers conducted its 12th annual online auction of an FT-3 drop deck utility trailer to benefit a nonprofit organization: Backing the Blue Line. Backing the Blue Line assists fallen officers and their families through various programs and support services. The winning bid of $6,650 was from Joe Welch of Caledonia, Minnesota. Welch, a construction and farm equipment dealer, has followed Felling Trailers’ Trailer for a Cause auctions for several years and also had the winning bid at the 2022 auction that benefitted Eagle’s Healing Nest.
SJE acquires Revere Control Systems
SJE has acquired Revere Control Systems. Founded in 1980, Revere has grown to become a full-service system integrator of control solutions across design, engineering, networking and programming with expertise in municipal water and industrial automation. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Revere has additional locations in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina. Revere represents SJE’s fifth acquisition since 2021 and second this year. SJE previously acquired ICON Technologies, an integrator of variable-frequency drive control systems for the water and wastewater market based in Tampa Bay, Florida.
ProcessWerx wins 2024 Cleantech Innovation Award in Water
The Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster celebrated North Carolina’s transformative Cleantech achievements at the 2024 Cleantech Innovation Awards ceremony, held in November at the SAS Institute in Cary, North Carolina. Among this year’s winners was ProcessWerx, awarded the Cleantech Impact: Water Award for its innovative FOG recovery and wastewater treatment project, designed for and provided to WM for its FOG2Fuel Program. Designed, built and commissioned by ProcessWerx for WM, the FOG2Fuel system can handle up to 60,000 gallons of FOG wastewater per day. This solution generates EPA-approved advanced biofuel and delivers treated wastewater suitable for safe sewer disposal.
Milwaukee Rubber president dies at 77
Patrick J. Drury Jr., president of Milwaukee Rubber Products, passed away on Dec. 26. Born Jan. 5, 1947, he grew up in Shorewood, Wisconsin, and graduated from Dominican High School in 1965, where he met Karen, his high school sweetheart and future wife of 53 years. Drury graduated from Spencerian Business College and eventually became the second-generation president of Milwaukee Rubber Products until his retirement.
An adventurous spirit, Drury enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends and taking annual vacations to Eagle River, Wisconsin, with his family. Known to his grandchildren as “Papa D,” he was a dedicated fan of Wisconsin sports teams, particularly the Green Bay Packers and Marquette Golden Eagles. He is remembered by many for his great sense of humor and witty pranks.
Drury is survived by his wife Karen, three children, five grandchildren and five siblings as well as other relatives and friends.
A memorial service and reception was held in January in Shorewood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Drury’s name to the Alzheimer's Association or Marquette Blue & Gold Fund are greatly appreciated by the family.
