Bio-Microbics Receives Exporter of the Year Award

Bio-Microbics Inc. received the 2009 Exporter of the Year award in the environmental category from ThinkGlobal Inc., publisher of Commercial News USA. The award is based on the total number of documented export transactions completed in 2008, the total percentage increase in sales in 2008 compared to 2007, exports as percentage of total sales, the company’s commitment to exporting, customer service, innovation and originality in marketing products or services.

National Vacuum Equipment Opens Arkansas Distribution Center

National Vacuum Equipment Inc. has opened a distribution center in Fayetteville, Ark. The facility serves as a shipping hub for the company’s Michigan manufactured products.

Chemcorp Names Bamberg Executive VP

Dave Bamberg has been named executive vice president, business development, for Chemcorp Industries Inc., maker and distributor for Johnny’s Choice portable restroom deodorants and cleaners. He has 20 years of industry sales and marketing experience.

Walex Receives Export Achievement Award

Walex Products Co., Wilmington, N.C., received in September the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Achievement Award, which recognizes U.S. businesses that achieve competitive success in international markets. Walex has expanded sales of its commercial and consumer waste treatment products into 30 countries.

Smith’s Septic Wins Pik Rite Show and Shine

Owners Steve and Joan Smith and driver Kris Bair of Smith’s Septic, Hanover, Pa., placed first in the Pik Rite Inc. Show and Shine contest during the company’s Customer Appreciation Day in September. Owner Dwight Clemens and driver Eric Leber of Clemens Septic Service, Telford, Pa., placed second and Loren Hurst, owner/driver, of Hurst Liquid Hauling, Vicksburg, Pa., placed third. Elvin Stoltzfus, Pik Rite president, welcomed 75 customers representing 15 companies to the company’s Lewisburg, Pa., headquarters. Grand prize was a LC 300 vacuum pump donated by Chandler Equipment and won by Jim Foresman Excavating & Septic of Allenwood, Pa.
