J&J Chemical Expands National Sales Team

Michael Lackey and Joshua Carmichael have joined J&J Chemical’s national sales team. Lackey joins the Midwest and Northeast divisions, and has 27 years experience in the portable restroom industry. Carmichael will be based in the company’s Georgia corporate office, where he has worked the past two years.

Obituary: ?Jack Hoskins Sr. Founded Bay State Truck & Trailer

Jack Hoskins Sr., president and CEO of Bay State Truck & Trailer Inc., Rehoboth, Mass., died Dec 9, 2007. He was 66.

Hoskins and his wife, Linda, founded the family trailer business in Pawtucket, R.I., in 1979 as Atlantic Tank and Chassis Co. The company took the Bay State name in 1985 when it relocated to Rehoboth. The company services, sells and leases new and used trailers. The couple’s sons, Jack Jr. and Erik, have served as service and sales manager respectively.

Hoskins was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was also a member of the Board of Governors of the Rhode Island Kennel Club; member of the American Chesapeake Club; life sponsor member of Ducks Unlimited; life member of the Historical Society of Moultonboro, N.H., and Laconia, N.H., and a lifelong sponsor of the Boy Scouts of America.

AlturnaMats Acquires Mobile Matts

AlturnaMats Inc. has acquired Mobile Matts of Green Bay, Wis. Phil Schounard will continue to head Mobile Matts and operate out of the Green Bay facility.

JAG Names Senecal Director of Customer Development

Charles Senecal has been named director of New Customer Development for JAG Mobile Solutions Inc. He brings more than seven years of sales, development and marketing experience in the portable sanitation industry to his new position.

Werts Promotes Anderson to Tank Truck Division Manager

Monte R. Anderson has been promoted to Tank Truck Division manager for Werts Welding & Tank Service. He has been with the company since 1999, working in sales, product development and as production coordinator. In his new role, Anderson will oversee all aspects of the Tank Truck Division, including manufacturing, production and sales.

Ditch Witch Redesigns Web Site

Ditch Witch has redesigned its Web site, www.ditchwitch.com. New features include equipment walk-arounds as well as a tool that enables users to configure units to their exact needs. The site also features detailed equipment specifications, easier navigation and extensive product photos.

Federal Signal Opens Long Beach Solutions Center

Federal Signal Environmental Solutions Group has opened its fifth FS Solutions center. The Long Beach, Calif., center will stock high-performance parts and accessories for the company’s Guzzler, Vactor and Jetstream brands, as well as other makes and models of waterblasters and vacuum loaders.
