A dependable, hardworking vacuum pump is the heart of any efficient septic-cleaning job. As the busy summer season begins to wind down, here are a few pumps and technologies from the industry’s top manufacturers to consider when you update or expand your fleet.

Liquid Cooled

The liquid-cooled HXL400WV vacuum pump from Masport Inc. delivers 400 cfm of air flow with an operating range of 1,000 to 1,275 rpm. Weighing 450 pounds, the pump is capable of achieving 27 Hg intermittently and 25 Hg continuously at sea level. In pressure mode, the pump will produce 30 PSIG intermittently and 20 PSIG continuously. Engineered for faster load times and optimum recovery, a water stabilized cylinder allows higher continuous vacuum and eliminates freeze-ups during the winter months. The mechanically driven oil pump ensures correct oiling with no adjustments needed. The integral four-way valve is designed with a self-adjusting, spring-loaded spool to eliminate leakage through normal wear. The RB-DV45 high vacuum blower from Robuschi USA Inc. delivers up to 494 cfm at 27 Hg continuous vacuum. The right-angle unit has a 1:2 gearbox with flex coupler. Air Cooled

A positive displacement oil pump requires no maintenance or adjustments, and delivers precisely the correct amount of oil to each of four locations for minimal oil consumption. Heavy-duty roller bearings and a self-centering rotor allow for quiet, efficient operation. The cooling system incorporates a high-flow fan and shrouded housing that ensures low pump temperatures for all applications and environments.
