Plumber Sees Business Boost After Adding Septic Services

Timothy A. Giard & Son Plumbing & Heating is seeing about 15% of its business from pumping already, and it hopes to see that number jump to 30% in the next couple years

In this online-exclusive video, Jeremy Giard — co-owner of Timothy A. Giard & Son Plumbing & Heating of North Andover, Massachusetts — explains how the 35-year-old company recently added septic pumping services to its arsenal.

He says trying to get a new division off the ground is worth the challenge. “I had a guy tell me, 'Take your lumps, keep your head down, keep grinding and the customers will come,' so that’s what we’re trying to do.”

Giard also shares some of the strategies the company has used during the COVID-19 pandemic.
