Amthor International is adding 30 new jobs to its 100-person workforce at its 86,000-square-foot plant in Gretna, Virginia, in order to meet the company’s production requirements. At the same time, the company is introducing a customized training program, “Amthor University,” in partnership with Virginia Technical Institute (VTI) to assist job seekers in gaining the required skills to be successful at Amthor.“Amthor is a leader in our industry,” says Brian Amthor, vice president of marketing. “Due to our focus on quality, delivery and product innovations, we have seen a growth in orders which has necessitated expanding our workforce in Gretna.”Amthor will be hiring welders, mechanics, electricians and tank cleaners.
