HYDROEXCAVATOR PROMISES FULL-SIZE POWER IN A MID-SIZE PACKAGE

Hydrovacs designed for tight quarters are a must-have for operators servicing populated areas. For that reason, Tornado Global Hydrovacs engineered the F3 ECO-LITE to have big functionality in a mid-sized platform.

“We spent years of product development and leveraged our supply partners to design a unit that customers have been asking us to produce,” says Rich Konkler, national manager of dealer development for Tornado Global.

“The F3 has been a popular choice in Ontario and the Toronto market since it was released,” he says. “We are now beginning to see its effectiveness in the U.S. market.”

The F3 Eco-Lite was made specifically to legally haul large payloads in urban environments, and does so with a debris capacity of 10 cubic yards and a water capacity of 1,250 gallons. A float-style indicator is positioned on the outside of the debris tank, so monitoring volume is quick and easy.

Outside of storage, Tornado Global equipped the F3 with a boom capable of reaching to 26 feet with 342 degrees of rotation and an 8-inch boom hose. The truck uses a 3,800 cfm Robuschi 125 blower, a Pratissoli KT28 water pump and a Dynablast 740,000 Btu burner.

A hydraulic dump door measuring 48 by 52 inches is mounted on the back of the tank and sits 42 inches high for easy use over bins. Operator comfort and efficiency was also top of mind for the build team. Customers can choose a 42-, 60- or 70-inch van body, and all van bodies are available with a toolbox, inverter, tooling package and wand holders.

Every unit has manual controls as well as a wireless remote system. The F3 also features a rear-view camera and premium work light package. “This is a mid-sized truck with full-size performance,” Konkler says. “Its simplicity of operation is a favorite of operators.”

According to Konkler, the F3 Eco-Lite can be used for a variety of applications. “This is a great support unit for the wastewater industry for excavating water lines and cleaning out retention ponds, exposing trenches, line repairs and locating services,” he says. 877-340-8141; www.tornadotrucks.com
