National Vacuum Equipment Challenger 1600

The Challenger 1600 from National Vacuum Equipment is a 1,600 cfm tri-lobe blower designed for continuous duty at maximum vacuum. Coxreels V-100 Series

The Coxreels V-100 Series product line has been expanded with the new 1 1/4-inch vacuum hose reel V-112-735 without hose and the V-112H-735 with hose. The new model is a smaller frame size featuring 12-inch-diameter discs instead of the original 17-inch-diameter discs and is designed for use with 35 feet of 1 1/4-inch vacuum hose. The outlet connecting to the hose remains 1 1/2 inches and our 1 1/4-inch hose comes equipped with 1 1/2-inch slip cuffs on both ends for maximum flow. In addition to the new models, the swivel has been improved on the entire product line. The new swivel design still allows for the connection of multiple hose sizes by using the inside and the outside of the housing, but a greater gradual taper has increased the amount of compatible inlet hose cuffs. 800-269-7335;

Hannay Reels VAC-5000

The VAC-5000 from Hannay Reels combats tangled, unorganized hose. Dynablast HV420F-12VRED

The Dynablast HV420F-12VRED hydrovac water heater produces 420,000 Btu with an output temperature of 175 degrees F at 5 gpm, making it suitable for colder climates and improved digging in clay-filled areas. All models come with ETL certification for safety, which also includes certification on the coil for higher efficiency and heat transfer, a stainless steel target plate for increased coil life and a design with serviceability in mind utilizing momentary override control. Soil Surgeon hydroexcavating tool

The Soil Surgeon hydroexcavating tool fits any sewer combination truck equipped with a telescoping 6- or 8-inch boom. The tool has a 1-inch water connection. The operator controls water pressure and power through truck controls. It has a 6-foot Tuff-Tube with handles to guide the unit down for potholing or side to side for trenching. Ditch Witch HX30G

The HX30G from Ditch Witch offers power in a low-profile design to help increase productivity. It is powered by a 31 hp Vanguard gas engine for suction power and water pressure to remove slurry and expose water/sewer lines for easy repair. It has a 542 cfm blower, 3,000 psi water pressure capacity and 4.2 gpm water flow, for efficiency and precision on the job site. It comes with a 500- or 800-gallon tank for a variety of job requirements. GapVax HV33

Designed to safely transport water and debris in urban areas, the GapVax HV33 is shorter, smaller and more compact than its predecessor. Rival Hydrovac T7 Tandem

The T7 Tandem from Rival Hydrovac was designed primarily to be loaded with debris and driven within legislated road limits with most types of debris on board. The unit comes standard with a scale that reads real-time weights both in the cab and on the wireless remote to confirm weights prior to travel. It is operator-friendly and the operating system is engaged through one PTO switch. The remainder of the operation occurs from the rear panel or the wireless remote. Tornado Global Hydrovacs F4 ECO-LITE

The F4 ECO-LITE from Tornado Global Hydrovacs has a 12-cubic-yard mud tank and holds 1,550 gallons of freshwater. The unit is more than 7,000 pounds lighter than the company’s older models and offers more than double the payload. The boom has a 342-degree rotation and 26-foot reach. Vac-Con Mudslinger


The Mudslinger MS800 trailer-mounted hydrovac from Vac-Con offers the power, suction and capacity of a truck hydroexcavator on a pull-behind trailer. It includes the choice of Tier 4 diesel or gas engine options providing up to 1,190 cfm and 16 inches Hg with a PD blower and 325 gallons of water. It has an 845-gallon debris tank and a 9-foot boom with 24 inches of hydraulic extension for a full range of motion. It is designed as a standalone unit, but can also provide support to construction, HDD and public utility fleets. Vacall AllExcavate2

Vacall AllExcavate2 machines offer high-pressure water and air jetting and standard intelligent controls, plus easy startup and operation, according to the maker. Water pumps generate 24.5 to 120 gpm and pressures to 3,000 psi with optional air excavation at 185 cfm and dual psi of 110 and 150. The water system, wand, control panel, tools and worker apparel are protected in a heated compartment for cold weather operation. A standard AllSmartFlow CANbus intelligent control system allows for precise boom and reel adjustments, with a programmable LCD display that monitors engine, water- and airflow and vacuum performance. Vermeer VXT300

Vermeer’s VXT300 truck vac is outfitted with an 8-cubic-yard spoil tank, 6-inch dig tube and the ability to carry up to 800 gallons of water so crews can maximize productivity on the job. It is designed with a low overall height of 11.5 feet to efficiently transport spoils from the job site to the dumpsite. The vac truck is built on a Kenworth T370 truck chassis with a 350 hp diesel engine and a six-speed automatic 3,000 RDS Allison transmission. Bucher Municipal North America FlexLine

The FlexLine C120 and now also the more agile C60 from Bucher Municipal North America are available. The combination sewer cleaners are used for preventive cleaning, emergency cleaning of mains, septic, collection tanks and hydroexcavation. They offer 8- and 15-cubic-yard capacities, 7.2 and 14.5 psi, a jetting hose reel with more than 492 feet of capacity, a 5-inch suction hose with 7-foot extension, a hydraulic end cover that opens upwards, automatically minimizing obstructions on roads and sidewalks, two control panels placed for easy operation, and a 5,100 psi at 5 gpm hydroexcavation pump. 704-658-1333;

Hi-Vac Aquatech B Series

The versatile Aquatech B-Series from Hi-Vac goes from sewer cleaner to hydroexcavator with no loss in performance, according to the maker. Its rear-mounted hose reel allows operation from the safest area possible regardless of manhole location, and provides an unobstructed view for the driver. The rear-mounted reel also allows 180-degree hydraulic articulation. It has a durable horizontal transfer case that delivers consistent power with fewer parts and less downtime. A high-performance 27-inch Hg blower means faster, more productive vacuum loading. The one-piece vacuum hose is designed without multiple 90-degree angles to eliminate clogs. Super Products Camel Max Series

The versatile Camel Max Series combination sewer cleaner from Super Products comes in a variety of model configurations: 900 Dump, 1200 Dump, 1200 Eject and 1200 Wastewater Recycle. All 1200 models come standard with a high dump subframe, eliminating the need to back up a ramp for debris removal. The 1200 Dump is capable of dumping into a 42-inch container while maintaining a low overhead height and a low center of gravity for increased stability. Fruitland’s 870 Series pump allows vacuum levels of 28.5 inches Hg and continuous vacuum of 27 inches Hg. Additionally, it is capable of providing 30 psi pressure for offloading. Oil consumption is 1 gallon for 18 hours of operation to reduce consumption and environmental impact. Locally sourced, non-proprietary oil may be used. Presvac Systems PV750

The Presvac Systems PV750 rotary vane pump is designed for continuous full-vacuum operation in extreme conditions. It offers 400 cfm at free air, 350 cfm at 15 inches Hg, a maximum vacuum of 27 inches Hg and maximum pressure of 35 psi. Dual fans and twin ballast ports are designed to efficiently cool the pump. The solid housing with deep cooling ribs allows greater heat transfer from the vacuum chamber. Aluminum fans and shrouding work like a heat exchanger. Wallenstein Vacuum 753 Series

The 753 Series vacuum pump from Wallenstein Vacuum is designed for longer service life, incorporating wide vanes that allow up to an inch of wear. It provides 422 cfm airflow at 1,200 rpm and vacuum levels up to 28 inches Hg. Options include air-, liquid- or dual-cooling systems where air injection is combined with liquid cooling. A pump-flushing port is included on the top valve for convenient maintenance. The quick-access housing end plate allows for easy internal inspection with no bearings to pull. Westmoor Condé PowerPaks are preassembled gasoline or diesel-powered vacuum pump units. They are easy to install, according to the maker, and include a heavy-duty steel base with aluminum diamond plate trim and belt guard. Rigid assembly is designed to ensure minimum vibration and maximum power. They are available with either vacuum only or vacuum/pressure pumps. A wide range of cfm options ensure the PowerPak is matched to the tank size and application. Cat Pumps Models 2560 and 2565

Cat Pumps Models 2560 (16 gpm at 3,000 psi) and 2565 (20 gpm at 2,500 psi) hydroexcavating pumps are constructed for continuous-duty applications. BH versions have a machined-bearing cover to mate with Cat Pumps’ 76SAEC.25FR hydraulic bell housing, allowing the 2560BH and 2565BH to be directly driven by an SAE C hydraulic motor.
