This year at the annual state association breakfast at the Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo International, the National Association of Wastewater Technicians was pleased to present a $1,000 scholarship to Carolyn Phillips of Mechanicsburg, Pa. She currently attends Pace University. The scholarship was created in memory of William Hapchuk, a long-time supporter and champion of the industry, to provide support to industry children and relatives to further their education.The charge to this year’s applicants was to “create and design a slogan or a bumper sticker representing NAWT, and then write a 250-500 word essay of why you think NAWT should
