With added floor space, molded-in components and stainless-steel bowl, the High Tech II Deluxe flush restroom from Synergy World aims to fill the niche between standard flush units and restroom trailers.

“This unit offers more of a home bathroom feel, as well as a higher rental value, which increases operators’ profitability,” says Stephen Brinton, the company’s vice president. “We spent almost four years working with portable restroom operators that wanted a high-end flushing unit without stepping up into a much more expensive ‘crowd pleaser’ trailer unit.”

The commercial-quality, stainless-steel, foot-activated flush bowl is one of the unit’s primary features. Highlights include no exposed plumbing and an easy-access freshwater fill port, Brinton notes.

“Waste won’t stick the way it does with a plastic bowl, and a water-seal flapper keeps waste out of users’ sight, as well as greatly reduces odors,” he explains.

The restroom is 8 1/2 inches wider than a standard restroom (52 1/2 inches compared to 44 inches) and is 48 inches deep and 91 inches high. A wall-mounted waste basket, which uses standard kitchen garbage bags, keeps trash out of the toilet and contributes to the flush unit’s 1,036 square inches of floor space, Brinton notes.

The flush unit weighs 299 pounds when empty. It comes with an 88-gallon waste tank with deodorizer fill lines, a 26-gallon flush water tank and a 10-gallon hand-wash tank. Other amenities include a foot-operated hand-wash station; a vertical, four-roll toilet paper dispenser that eliminates partially used rolls; a standard solar-powered light; an upper corner shelf; an 11-inch mirror; twin sheet, thermo-formed walls; molded-in ventilation slots; 10 washout ports; greater ground clearance for operators who use pallet jacks; a tinted, UV-resistant roof, runner grooves and top-to-bottom handholds for easier maneuverability.

“The flushing unit, which comes in medium tan, also offers a fresh, innovative look,” Brinton adds. A non-flushing model, equipped with a urinal and available in dark blue or green, is geared toward construction-site use.

“It provides more room for workers encumbered by bulky clothing or tools,” Brinton says.
