Superior Signal 5E FLEX battery-powered smoke blower
Superior Signal’s 5E FLEX battery-powered smoke blower is designed for smoke-testing building plumbing and laterals to quickly find faults, odors, leaks and inflow. The 5E FLEX is compatible with leading 18- to 20-volt tool batteries utilizing a high-quality power adapter. The 5E FLEX smoke blower integrates with existing electric toolsets or can run off any 12- to 24-volt DC power source. Smoke-testing is a cost-effective solution ideal for hard-to-find faults in commercial, residential and municipal facilities. While the 5E blower is popular for a variety of plumbing applications, it is also instrumental in testing sewer laterals, showing where a fault or leak may occur on private property. Made in the USA, the 5E FLEX has an 8-foot industrial-grade hose. Used with 1A or 2B Superior smoke candles, it creates 4,000 or 8,000 cubic feet of smoke respectively. Superior Smoke candles are also sold in convenient SealPac cans that extend shelf life.

Infiltrator expands ECOPOD-NX line
Infiltrator Water Technologies has expanded the ECOPOD residential advanced wastewater treatment product line with the ECOPOD-NX. The ECOPOD-NX is a moving-bed bioreactor that incorporates an airlift assembly for recirculating the wastewater; the combination of the MBBR disc media and recirculation process enables the system to achieve 80% total nitrogen reduction. The ECOPOD-NX has been certified to NSF/ANSI 40 and NSF/ANSI 245 Standards. The ECOPOD-NX is available to treat residential wastewater flows of 500 gpd; larger sizes are in development.
