For the past 15 years, Pumper has run its Classy Truck of the Year contest, and in the process has shown off the best septic pumping rigs North America has to offer. That first winner was a beautiful Sterling Acterra built by Pik Rite and carrying a 2,500-gallon steel tank and Jurop/Chandler R260 pump. Ed McGuire, who at the time operated McGuire’s Septic Service in Rome, Pennsylvania, was an old-car enthusiast and had the truck painted a 1957 Chevy turquoise and Chrysler super white. Hopefully that sharp truck is still on the road today. Now it’s your turn to make history with your septic service
