Mobile Driver Stations from Clear Computing are designed to help managers assign new work to drivers for emergency coverage, pickups, moves, etc., without returning for new paperwork. They give replacement drivers voice directions to the next stop, and drivers can change stop numbers in the field so the route is ordered correctly for the next use. They keep the back office updated as each stop is completed, and offer midday billing for completed work versus waiting until end-of-day and overtime hours. They set the actual location of the unit (latitude/longitude) on deliveries and moves, so the next route driver is not lost, and send email notifications to the office for billing events, like overuse, or for service problems like blocked units. The program emails customers on successful completion of service, or a copy of the signed, completed work order. It keeps a history of all driver notes. 888/332-5327; www.clearcomputing.com.
