After years of algae and water-quality problems, Florida’s Legislature has a water-quality bill with broad support. The bill by Sen. Debbie Mayfield, R-Indialantic, received unanimous approval earlier this year from the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Environment and General Government.
