Classy Truck - January 2019

Todd Wolfer added this 2012 International WorkStar with a Pik Rite 4,100-gallon waste and 100-gallon freshwater steel tank and MEC800 with auto-lube and air-shift PTO to provide vacuum. The truck is powered by a Navistar MaxxForce engine linked to a Fuller 18-speed transmission (Eaton Vehicle Group). It features Hendrickson suspension, a 3-foot cab extension for carrying tools, a COXREELS hose reel and jetter for freshwater delivery, three 5-inch sight glasses, a ProTech aluminum diamond plate toolbox, top and rear 20-inch manways and a ladder to reach the top opening, and a 4-inch heated inlet valve. The truck has halogen rear work lights and LED running lights. The cab features air-ride seats, air conditioning, radio/CD and power mirrors with integrated LED lights. Aluminum hose trays and the lower part of the tank were coated with J. Simmons Industries Superliner. Pik Rite painted the tank and rims white, and Custom Craft Signs provided the vinyl graphics. Driver Chris Wolfer represents the third generation of family pumpers, and he uses the truck for residential septic service.
