COWA-NAWT Workshops Drawing Pumpers From Far and Wide

See a variety of waste treatment processes in action

With the joint California Onsite Wastewater Association/National Assocaition of Wastewater Transporters workshop and exhibit just over a week away, the events are drawing participating pumpers from several states and Mexico. U.S. contractors interested in onsite system technologies and private septage treatment plants are coming from Alaska, New York, Hawaii and Colorado, in addition to the traditional contingent from California, Oregon and Washington State.

The Wastewater Treatment Technology Exhibition and Septage/Grease Waste Treatment Workshop will be held next week, Thursday, Oct. 6 and Friday, Oct. 7 at the in beautiful Jackson (and Sutter Creek), Calif., in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Training and an exhibition of onsite system technologies will be held at the host Jackson Rancheria Casino & Resort. On day two, Oct. 7, the group will head to a state-of-the-art septage treatment facility in nearby Sutter Creek to see demonstrations of various waste treatment systems in action

You’ll get a lot out of the demonstrations and workshop if you’ve considered treating the waste you collect on your pumping routes. I will be on location covering the event for Pumper

For more information on the event, go to www.cowa.org. Registration will remain open at the COWA site through Oct. 5.
