PolyJohn International Founder Vernon Hills Passes Away

Vernon Hills, founder and previous managing director of PolyJohn International, passed away Jan. 29 in Leeds, England. In 1992, Hills and Whiting, Indiana-based PolyJohn formed a partnership to market portable sanitation products worldwide under the name PolyJohn UK Ltd. The current name was adopted in 2004. The company was serving customers in 45 countries when Hills retired in 2018. “Vernon was always looking at ways of reducing shipping costs to these distant lands, and for maintaining quality and consistency of the products,” Mike Cooper, PolyJohn president and CEO said in a press release. “This was not just for spreading the reach
