The ESep-Solo process from RecoverE separates as-pumped trap grease into three output streams using a two-stage, semibatch sequence. The largest output stream is graywater, with some small (less than 1/4 inch) solids, primarily food residue. The minor grease fraction is output as pasteurized brown grease, which is solid at room temperature, simplifying disposal or reuse. The system’s headworks screen out the minimal quantities of large and heavy solids for disposal as solid waste. The 30,000-gpd system includes a climate-controlled containerized control room to house weather-sensitive components. Operation is fully automated, minimizing operator time requirements.
