Continental completes Veyance acquisition

Tire manufacturer Continental completed the acquisition of Ohio-based rubber company Veyance Technologies upon receiving approval from the Brazilian antitrust authority CADE (Council for Economic Defense). As part of the agreement, Continental will divest Veyance’s air springs business in NAFTA and its steel-cord belting business in Brazil. The transition is valued at $1.5 billion.
