Handle-Tech first gained popularity in the gas and oil industry as an effective tool for moving pipes and hoses. The same benefits translate to the septic service industry. The product line is designed to make gripping, lifting and dragging hoses and pipes easier by providing a secure, easy-to-grip handle.

“The product works by releasing the handle, placing it on a hose or pipe and pushing down,” says Matthew Wolf, marketing director for Handle-Tech. “It then locks into place with a click and is securely fastened to the hose or pipe, allowing the user to easily lift, pull or drag the item.”

Users simply push a mechanism on the side of the handle and the grip releases.

Handle-Tech devices are manufactured to securely hold a load up to 400 pounds, and grip pipes and hoses 2 to 12 inches in diameter. They are made from long glass nylon and HDPE plastics, creating a lightweight and strong product that can withstand low temperatures.

“They’re the perfect tool for sewer and septic pumping and cleaning, industrial vacuuming, grease handling, hydroexcavation and more,” Wolf says. “Handle-Tech users save serious time, energy, and money, because cleaner gloves and uniforms means lower costs.”

Wolf also says that the handles can create a safer work environment for operators as well. “We’ve heard from business owners and operators that they are most interested in the safety element of the product,” he says. “It can help reduce work-related injuries on the job like back strains from hauling around heavy hoses in awkward stances, and crushed fingers from dropping them when the operators’ hands are underneath.”

He says many users in the septic industry tell him how much it helps them to stay cleaner on the job as it reduces the need to actually grip dirty hoses with your hand. 610-385-6091; www.handle-tech.com
