Patrick J. Drury Jr., president of Milwaukee Rubber Products, passed away on Dec. 26. Born Jan. 5, 1947, he grew up in Shorewood, Wisconsin, and graduated from Dominican High School in 1965, where he met Karen, his high school sweetheart and future wife of 53 years. Drury graduated from Spencerian Business College and eventually became the second-generation president of Milwaukee Rubber Products until his retirement.
An adventurous spirit, Drury enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends and taking annual vacations to Eagle River, Wisconsin, with his family. Known to his grandchildren as “Papa D,” he was a dedicated fan of Wisconsin sports teams, particularly the Green Bay Packers and Marquette Golden Eagles. He is remembered by many for his great sense of humor and witty pranks.
Drury is survived by his wife Karen, three children, five grandchildren and five siblings as well as other relatives and friends.
A memorial service and reception was held in January in Shorewood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Drury’s name to the Alzheimer's Association or Marquette Blue & Gold Fund are greatly appreciated by the family.
