Hino Trucks expands INSIGHT platform
Hino Trucks has expanded its INSIGHT platform to be standard fit across all 2017 model years. The platform includes three services — INSIGHT Telematics, INSIGHT Remote Diagnostics and INSIGHT Case Management — to create a connected vehicle that delivers real-time data for owners.

GPS Insight recognized for rapid growth
GPS Insight is ranked No. 431 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy tech companies in North America. The company also was ranked the 40th largest and 21st fastest-growing company in Arizona at the Phoenix Business Journal’s Arizona Corporate Excellence (ACE) Awards.

Green Truck Summit adds educational opportunities
The Green Truck Summit, an alternative fuels and advanced technology conference held annually in conjunction with The Work Truck Show, will feature a more comprehensive educational program for its 2016 conference. The event will include a full day of in-depth general sessions on March 1. Attendees will also be able to choose from more than 30 educational programs from March 2-3.

Franklin Electric unveils offerings for NGWA 2015 attendees
Franklin Electric, a manufacturer of complete pumping systems, is offering contractors and drillers an opportunity to sharpen their skills, along with new pumping-related solutions at the NGWA’s 2015 Groundwater Expo in booth 719 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition to a variety of new products that will be on display, Franklin will offer short training sessions at its Hone Your Craft Expert Hub, focusing on solutions to questions commonly asked by water well professionals.

Wastequip founder Dr. Charles W. Walton dies at 83
Wastequip founder Dr. Charles W. Walton died Nov. 3. He was 83. A true visionary, Walton established Wastequip in the late 1980s with his sights on consolidating the fragmented waste equipment industry. Wastequip thrived under Walton’s leadership, and eventually became one of the largest manufacturers of waste and recycling equipment. After Wastequip was acquired by a private equity firm in 1999, Walton continued to lead the company until his retirement in 2007.
