One of the world’s largest injection mold companies has installed energy management technology developed and commercialized by EnterScape, a company in the Purdue Research Park of Southeast Indiana. Infiltrator Systems Inc. leaders have selected UtilityRecon 2.0, an industrial monitoring software platform, for their Winchester, Ky., plant. UtilityRecon 2.0 was launched by EnterScape at the 2012 World Energy Engineering Congress in Atlanta. Howard Kietz, facility manager at Infiltrator Systems Inc., and his colleagues needed a cost-effective system to monitor the company’s plant-wide power usage. “We chose EnterScape after meeting with them and seeing their capabilities. We could save more than $100,000 using their technology,” he says.
