It's Never Too Late To Start Something New

Follow the lead of Dennis Bowling and don't be afraid to embrace new challenges!

I wanted to kick off the blog in 2011 by extracting a hopeful message from the pages of the January issue of Pumper. And the experience of Dennis Bowling, owner of Five Star Septic and Portable Toilet Rentals fit the bill.

In 2006, with 21 years under his belt working for Delta Airlines, Bowling, of Dry Ridge, Ky., could have stuck it out with the airline industry and headed into the sunset. But he had a different idea, to strike out on his own in a new line of work and invest in his own business.

So Dennis, his wife Tonya, and their extended family committed to pumping septic tanks and placing and cleaning portable restrooms to the best of their ability. Their varied backgrounds and Dennis’ farming background gave them the work ethic and perseverance to meet new challenges and succeed … even in the down economy of the past few years.

Take a look at their story in the January issue of Pumper. If you ever wonder whether you could handle adding a new service to your pumping business or acquire another company to grow your revenues, look to the Bowlings as a source for business-building inspiration.

May you have a healthy and profitable 2011!
