MAC Trailer Teams With Foundation to Support Driver Health

MAC Trailer cares about over-the-road drivers and knows that staying healthy on the road can be a challenge. The company will be helping to sponsor the Walk A Mile America Foundation’s new 2015 program called “Truck Drivers Health.”

The program employs a unique marketing tool: an 18-wheel semi-truck and trailer that has been neglected for over 15 years of its 20-year life, now owned by Walk A Mile America Foundation founder Barry Pawelek. The truck’s story is used as part of an encouraging message to the transportation industry, looking to prove that no matter what your health issues may be they can be correctly addressed, leading to a healthier, longer life.

The truck will be on tour over the next two years, showing drivers what can happen when they neglect their health. It is also Pawelek’s goal to rebuild the truck to its former 1995 glory, trying to provide inspiration for drivers to get healthy along the way. TruckDriversHealth.org also provides free health programs for truck drivers to join.
