Kudos to Michigan Pumper for Positive Media Exposure

Thank Kevin Burns for Showing Industry Professionalism

A Coleman, Mich., pumper was featured in the Midland Daily News promoting the importance of septic system maintenance. See the story here:

Kevin Burns, of Kevin Burns Septic & Porta Johns, made the most of his opportunity to educate the public about proper septic system care in the story by writer Patti Brandt. When the media outlet called for background information, Burns made a pitch for hiring a professional contractor to pump septic tanks every few years and update systems as needed, for example, adding outlet filters to preserve the drainfield.

The paper even published photos of Burns at work. He’s shown wearing the appropriate work attire, including gloves and glasses for safety. He projects a professional image for the industry.

If a newspaper or TV reporter called you to share your expertise about septic system care, would you be ready and willing to respond? Burns sets a good example.

I’d like to hear from you. Drop me a line at editor@pumper.com or respond directly to this blog post below.
