Manitou Americas kicked off their "Next Big Thing" Dealer Event on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the Manitou Americas headquarters in West Bend, Wisconsin. Over 190 dealer attendees from the United States and Canada were present.

An award ceremony, recognition dinner and tours of the facility — including the R&D center — took place Tuesday night honoring the 2015 Top Performing Gehl, Manitou and Mustang equipment dealers in North America. The "Next Big Thing" event began Wednesday, March 16 at the Washington County Fair Grounds, where over 30 Gehl, Mustang and Manitou machines paraded around the exposition center, then parked in their designated spots for dealers to walk around and ask questions of product experts, product managers and executive management.

New product introductions were unveiled as Gehl and Mustang announced the addition of two large-capacity articulated loaders. New products on display for Manitou were the truck-mounted Forklift TMT 55 and the MH/MSI Series semi-industrial forklifts. Product demonstrations, break-out sessions and corporatewide presentations were also part of the program.

"The event was an overall success, from the turnout of our dealer network to the collaboration between our corporate team making it all happen," says Eric Burkhammer, vice president of sales and marketing for Manitou Americas. "I feel our dealers not only left with a greater knowledge of our corporate history, product offerings and the future direction of our company, but most importantly, they were exposed to most of our corporate team, meeting the right people for continued day-to-day business support."

"Manitou Americas has significantly grown in the last few years, so it was great to have this opportunity to showcase the breadth of our product lines, debut multiple new products and introduce customer support initiatives to our North American dealers," said Lori Heidecker, director of marketing for Manitou Americas.
