Premier Tech Aqua (PTA), the environmental technologies group of Premier Tech, celebrates 20 years of innovation in water preservation and product development, expanding its leading-edge and ecological onsite wastewater treatment Ecoflo Biofilter product line by introducing the newly NSF-certified Ecoflo Coco Filter.

The continuous development of the award-winning Ecoflo onsite septic system, combined with the drive of the R&D team behind the brand to design better and smaller products, have made possible this second successful NSF Certification Program in two years.

The newest Ecoflo innovation integrates the same 100 percent natural, coco-husk-based filtering media – a byproduct of the coco industry to which PTA gives a second life – and NSF International tests have confirmed that the superior air flow and water retention capacities of the coco fibers can resist an even greater hydraulic loading rate and offer a 40 percent increased treatment capacity in a more compact unit. Homeowners and developers can thus enjoy the same high-performance, low-maintenance and no-energy septic solution, but in a significantly smaller shell.

Designed to resist the harshest climates and periods of no-flow as well as peak flows, Ecoflo Coco Filter is now available as a ready-to-use roto-molded polyethylene tank that can treat up to 600 gpd. Weighing in at a light 1,300 pounds (filtering media and internal components included) it can also be incorporated as a kit into existing concrete tanks made by local precasters. The new Ecoflo Coco Filter is easy to handle with any standard machinery and an ideal solution when space is limited. After years of usage, the spent filter is pumped out and replaced with new Premier Tech filtering media and the 10-year warranty on the treatment performances of the system is automatically reactivated. The used filter can be recycled to produce a nutrient-rich compost for soil amendment to reduce the carbon footprint of the product even more.

Reaching the milestone of 100,000 Ecoflo Biofilter units installed in 17 countries in 2015, Ecoflo is currently the world’s leading brand in compact onsite wastewater treatment systems for the residential, commercial, community and institutional sectors. To support customers and developers, each system registered with PTA comes with high-quality customer care standards for the life of the product. A unique network of local service partners committed to meeting the most stringent requirements in environmental protection, ensures that every Ecoflo is verified on a regular basis and operates optimally for years to come.

The Ecoflo brand has evolved into a complete line of wastewater treatment and polishing options suitable for all soil conditions and flow requirements and meeting the strictest effluent norms. The 20th anniversary year of Ecoflo highlights the innovative spirit and leadership of PTA as the company now offers the most complete and advanced line of wastewater treatment products in the onsite industry.
