Vacuum truck manufacturer Vac-Con and its employee owners have kicked their community involvement efforts into high gear during the past few months. 

Vac-Con employee owners held a spring cleaning clothing drive from May 27 to June 20 to benefit the Mission House, a facility whose services assisted 51 clients off the streets of Jacksonville, Fla., and to get back to a self-sufficient, productive life in 2013 alone. 

Employee owners donated 2,333 items weighing in at 1,761 pounds. Staff members, volunteers and clients of the Mission House were overjoyed. They were appreciative and grateful of the Vac-Con employee owners’ efforts. Everyone at Vac-Con is proud to be able to assist the community and come together as one family to help others in need. 

During the month of August, Vac-Con employee owners also held a school supply drive benefitting Project REACH Kids, an organization which helps over 1,100 homeless children in Clay County, Fla., annually. Thanks to Vac-Con employee owners, Project REACH now has over 600 additional much-needed school supplies. Great job to everyone who participated!
