Four Baldwin Filters employees were recently presented the CLARCOR Achievement Award for outstanding achievement. Rosario Castillo, Diane Karstens, Michael Von Seggern and Wendy Wilkins were recognized for their efforts on several key projects at Baldwin Filters.

The CLARCOR Achievement Award is given to select individuals employed by CLARCOR companies who have exhibited behavior that embodies the values and philosophies of CLARCOR.

Castillo and Karstens, both international customer service & logistics administrators, were nominated for actively quoting and negotiating freight terms resulting in significant savings for the company. “These two individuals take great pride in their work and are enthusiastic in realizing savings for the company,” said Steve Zimmerman, manager, International Product Management and PMO, who nominated the pair.

Von Seggern, design engineer of Air Filter Engineering, was nominated for the award for his work with the company’s Channel Flow product line. During his three-year tenure with the company, Von Seggern has also filed for three patents for air filter design.

“He has embedded himself in every facet of the Baldwin organization,” said Jeff Rogers, manager, Air Filter Engineering, who nominated Von Seggern for the honor. “His peers recognize the extraordinary effort he puts forth. It is this type of commitment and effectiveness that is so worthy of recognition.”

Wilkins, Human Resources generalist, in the company’s Gothenburg, Neb., facility, was recognized for her efforts during the company’s transition in payroll systems across three facilities, as well as ongoing projects.

“Throughout the transition period, she did a fantastic job of ensuring that our payroll system transition was seamless for our employees,” said Brian Riley, plant manager at Gothenburg, who recommended Wilkins for the award. “While she was away from Gothenburg, she remained in constant contact with the employees (in Gothenburg) and made sure that all special and regular human resources functions went off without a hitch.”

Baldwin Filters, a CLARCOR company, produces over 6,000 lube, air, fuel, hydraulic, coolant and transmission filtration products for most commercial truck and heavy equipment applications, and can be purchased from distributors worldwide. For information, visit www.baldwinfilter.com
