Bio-Microbics is pleased to announce that small residential FAST systems are an ideal treatment unit for inside the lightweight, strong, and durable Infiltrator IM-1060 septic tank. The injection molded Infiltrator IM-1060 tank offers long-term exceptional strength in a two-piece tank design that efficiently nests (stacks) for shipping. The precisely designed mid-seam joint accepts an engineered EPDM gasket, eliminating seepage issues. With a working capacity of 1,094 gallons, the improvement in plastic septic tank design is designed for use with Bio-Microbics RetroFAST 0.150, 0.250, and 0.375 (EPA-ETV verified) systems and the MicroFAST 0.5, 0.625, and 0.75 (certified NSF Std 40, class 1 & NSF Std 245) systems.

The Infiltrator IM-1060 tank is suitable for use as a septic tank, pump tank, or rainwater (non-potable) tank. Infiltrator’s EPDM gasket design utilizes technology and materials from the sanitary sewer pipe industry to deliver a watertight seal. The two-piece design is permanently fastened using a series of non-corrosive plastic alignment dowels and locking seam clips. The tank can be installed with 6 to 48 inches of cover and can be pumped dry during pump-outs.

The simple-to-install and maintain Fixed Integrated Treatment Technologies (FITT) of the FAST systems allow for robust, aerobic treatment inside the tank. These systems create an optimized treatment environment with consistent aeration and mixing throughout the media for maximum biomass generation. This method of operation also allows the system to withstand periods of high and low input. These residential onsite wastewater treatment systems meet most state requirements and provide advanced wastewater treatment options.

Benefits of FAST wastewater treatment systems:

·     Natural biological process
·     No adjustments. Self-regulating, it handles surges, overloads, and light loads without problems.
·     Operator friendly. Simple and rugged, does not depend upon the skill of an operator.
·     Proven. Since 1969, virtually all remain in everyday operation.
·     Certified. Systems can meet the most stringent standards worldwide.
·     Easy maintenance. Media never requires replacement.
·     Universally adaptable. A wide variety of accessories are available to meet specific treatment requirements.

Infiltrator continues to meet increasingly stringent environmental and regulatory requirements with innovative product solutions like the Infiltrator IM 1060 and TW Series septic tanks. Other Infiltrator products offering superior performance include the Quick4 Plus family of chambers, EZflow by Infiltrator, EZflow Drainfield System, EZset Riser Systems, Aquaworx by Infiltrator, and Infiltrator Corrugated Pipe (formerly Blue Diamond Corrugated Pipe).

Benefits of the Infiltrator IM-1060 tank:

·     Strong and lightweight injection molded polypropylene construction
·     Inboard lifting lugs for easy delivery and handling
·     Integral heavy-duty green lids that interconnect with TW risers and pipe risers
·     Structurally reinforced access ports eliminate distortion during installation and pump-outs
·     Reinforced structural ribbing and fiberglass bulkheads offer additional strength
·     Can be installed with 6 to 48 inches of cover
·     Can be pumped dry during pump-outs
·     Suitable for use as a decentralized wastewater tank, pump tank, or rainwater (non-potable) tank
·     No special installation, backfill, or water filling procedures required

The Bio-Microbics FAST systems and the Infiltrator IM-1060 tank combine to create a complete package system that can reduce the size of the leach field or the depth of soil needed in the leach field; allow building in unsuitable sites or soils, such as clay; remove more nitrogen from the effluent; and/or allow effluent to be released into environmentally sensitive areas or water reuse.
