The past 12 months, the pandemic of 2020 has produced a series of small-business ups and downs. March brought a gut-punch to pumpers everywhere as they dealt with the news of COVID-19. Then later in the year our contractors became busier than ever as folks sheltered in place and needed tanks pumped and systems maintained. It was unlike anything we’ve experienced before.

But one thing remained constant through thick and thin, and that was the Classy Truck. The economy the past few years has been fantastic for pumpers, and they’ve invested some of their growing revenue in new trucks and in refurbishing their most trusty rigs. So oddly, even in the midst of this health crisis, contractors were still upgrading their fleets and in a mood to show off their service vehicles.

And we saw that pumper optimism shine through in the photos offered for our monthly Classy Truck feature. Each of these trucks has been featured in an issue of the magazine and now they compete for our Classy Truck of the Year honor and an opportunity to grace the cover of an upcoming issue of the magazine.

We need your help in choosing the top truck of 2020. Look over the 12 Classy Trucks and choose your favorite. Reader votes will be tallied and added to the picks from our team of COLE Publishing judges to choose the winner. But make your pick quickly. Voting ends Dec. 23.

Good luck to all of our Classy Trucks. Like they say during any beauty pageant, you’re all winners. You have done the industry proud with your great graphics, commendable chassis, and eye-popping paint and chrome work. Hardworking pumpers deserve to ride in style and promote professionalism and reassure customers that they made the right choice to call you when they see these trucks pull up.
