Shane Irwin is the secondhand owner of a 2002 International 4300 DuraStar vacuum truck built out by Progress VacTruck with a 2,200-gallon aluminum tank and Jurop/Chandler R260 pump. Powered by a DT-466 engine tied to an Allison automatic transmission, the cab was white when Irwin purchased it. It was painted Oklahoma Thunder blue, with chrome flames and vinyl graphics all around by Silsby Media. The truck features three aluminum toolboxes for ample storage, aluminum hose trays that carry 250 feet of hose, stainless steel wheel covers, and tinted windows. The tank includes top and rear 24-inch manways, three sight glasses, rear work lights and 3-inch suction and 4-inch discharge valves. In the cab there’s an air-ride driver’s seat, AC, cruise, stereo, GPS and Chelsea air-shift PTO. Irwin splits the driver duties with employee Patrick Lemmings, and the truck is used for residential and commercial septic service.
