This cool, blue, 2006 Peterbilt 378 is a workhorse hauler for owners Troy and Gail Temme. Built by T-Line Equipment Inc. of Reedsville, Wis., the impressive Pete is powered by a 475-hp Cummins ISX engine married to an Eaton-Fuller 10-speed Autoshift transmission. The tank is an epoxy-lined 5,600-gallon steel unit with vacuum provided by a National Vac 367 liquid-cooled pump with a final filter. The tank is painted with a two-stage, blue metallic/pearl, and clear coated to match the cab. Graphics and lettering are by Dave Schmidt of 3-D Sign and Graphics. Schmidt is a family friend who passed away shortly after the truck was finished. To add some flash, the manways, secondary, hose trays, tailboard, bumper and toolbox are done in stainless steel. The 425 super-single tires ride on Alcoa deep-dish aluminum rims. All valves are heated, and the truck floats on air-ride suspension. The premium interior package includes power windows, power/heated mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, air-ride cab/seat and satellite radio.
