Vacon receives product line strategy award


Vacon received the European Low Voltage Alternating Current Electric Drives Product Line Strategy Award for 2012 from Frost & Sullivan. The award recognizes achievements in effectively optimizing strategies, processes and performance.

Bio-Microbics' Blodig receives STEP Award


Allison Blodig, director of reg-ulatory affairs for Bio-Microbics, received the Women in Manufacturing STEP (science, technology, engineering and production) Award, presented by the Manufacturing Institute, the Society of Man-ufacturing Engineers, University of Phoenix and Deloitte. A registered environmental health specialist and former board member of the Kansas Small Flows Association, Blodig was among 122 women recognized for excellence in manufacturing.


Advanced Drainage acquires Flexstorm


Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) acquired Inlet & Pipe Protection, manufacturer of Flexstorm stormwater inlet filters. Products will be marketed under the ADS Flexstorm brand.

JAG names Vanette marketing solutions coordinator


JAG Mobile Solutions named Nickie Vanette marketing and solutions coordinator for the mobile restroom, shower and specialty trailer manufacturer.

Federal Signal opens rental, service center


Federal Signal Corp.'s Environmental Solutions Group opened an FS Solutions rental and service center in New Brunswick, N.J. The company's ninth rental and service center stocks parts and accessories for its Guzzler brand of vacuum trucks, Vactor vacuum excavators and Jet-stream waterblasters.

Elastec/American Marine, Kvichak form alliance


Elastec/American Marine and Kvichak Marine Industries, manufacturer of aluminum workboats, formed an alliance to serve customers of MARCO Filterbelt skimmer systems and Kvichak/MARCO oil spoil recovery vessels. Elastec/American Marine will be the exclusive replacement parts provider of Filterbelt and Filterpad accessories.

Admirals Bank introduces septic financing program


Admirals Bank introduced a residential septic financing program that provides homeowners with up to $25,000 to upgrade, repair or replace their septic or public wastewater system.

Five Peaks names business development director


Five Peaks named Dave Bamberg executive director of business development. With 20 years of experience in the portable sanitation industry, Bamberg was instrumental in building the Five Peaks brand and launching its product line in 2003.

VAC2GO adds Vactor combination units, Guzzler vacuum trucks


VAC2GO added Vactor combination sewer cleaning units and Guzzler Classic vacuum trucks to its rental fleet. The trucks will be stationed in Rock Hill, S.C., Louisville, Ky., and Richmond, Va. VAC2GO also named JC Spalding business development manager for its Louisville office.
