Classy Truck of August

This month we feature Ronnie’s Septic Tank Service Inc.

When Ronnie and Iris Daniels decided to get into the pumping business recently, they jumped in with a new rig. They ordered a 2009 Kenworth T300 with a 300-hp PX-8 engine and a 5-speed Allison automatic transmission from Cooper Kenworth in Hickory, N.C. He had the maroon and white head-turner built out by Abernethy Welding, equipped with a 2,500-gallon steel waste tank connected to a Masport HXL400 pump. The truck has heated valves, aluminum wheels, tool boxes and hose trays for light weight and good looks. The trays are lined with Rhino Liner for durability and convenience. Lettering, pinstriping and graphics were provided by Rich Alexander of Mount Kisco Sign Co. Daniels ordered the top-of-the-line full leather interior with woodgrain dash, corner windows and CD player. Daniels says his Classy Truck submission is in honor of the late Jim Sigmon of Cooper Kenworth, who helped him with the truck before passing away earlier this year.
