Allied Forward Motion Mini-Metro Mover

The Mini-Metro Mover from Allied Forward Motion enables a restroom operator to move units that weigh up to 500 pounds — without any help.

Moving portable restrooms can be a taxing chore that leaves operators prone to on-the-job injuries. The Mini-Metro Mover from Allied Forward Motion takes aim at that problem by enabling a restroom operator to move units that weigh up to 500 pounds — without any help.

The hauler also collapses into a stowable unit that measures 48 by 17 by 26 inches, says Nate Price, the company’s vice president of sales.

“Space is at a premium on trailers or pumper trucks, so we wanted to develop a mover that’s easier to carry on a truck,” Price says. “When collapsed, the Mini-Mover fits inside a restroom. Otherwise, you’d have to strap it down on a truck and hope it doesn’t wiggle loose while it’s bouncing around. “You can also fit it inside the cab of a truck or inside a truck cabinet,” he adds. “It takes only about 10 seconds to set up.”

The unit is made out of steel and is dip-painted to ensure it’s as rust-resistant as possible. It weighs about 55 pounds, and will move a standard single restroom or a handicapped restroom that does not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Price says.

It can be used for other applications, such as moving folding chairs, according to Price, by adding a piece of plywood as a base.

The unit features four, 10-inch-diameter rubber pneumatic tires to traverse uneven terrain.
