SAVE, MARKET, AND BUY WISELY

NAWT is developing important member benefits, and the three current ones are the 401(k) program, business marketing on the Internet through www.Closing.com, and discounts on equipment purchases through USABlueBook.

Company 401(k) plans are potentially complex and costly. Our program turns this demanding, cluttered marketplace into a convenient, cost-effective world where retirement plan experts from Edward Jones and Employee Benefits of St. Cloud Inc. make it easier for members to develop, customize and afford 401(k)s.

401(k)s can shelter more money than comparable SEP or simple plans. The NAWT retirement plan is the biggest benefit we offer our membership and it should be your company’s, too. Taking care of your employees is a good thing, and statistics prove that retirement plans are an excellent way to retain them. Besides the standard plan services, Employee Benefits offers:

• Interactive Web site

• Electronic enrollment

• E-Remittance

• E-Payment

• Prompt, accurate data transmission and reporting

• Transition support

To learn more, call NAWT at 800/236-6298, visit www.nawt.org/401k, call Brian Vatnsdal (Edward Jones) at 800/726-3843, Employee Benefits at 320/251-0034, or e-mail info@EBSC-online.org.

ONE-STOP SHOP

Closing.com caters to every aspect of real estate transactions. Buyers and sellers use it to find Realtors, septic services, title companies, inspectors, etc. We have an agreement with the company to list NAWT-certified inspectors for free. Furthermore, members save up to 40 percent when they upgrade their ad to benefit from preferred placement on the site. In a tough economy, here is an opportunity to stretch your advertising dollars and reach more customers for free.

Statistics prove the Internet offers efficient ways to grow your business. If you like the idea of reaching a target-specific audience for minimal cost and aren’t a member, log onto our benefits page at www.nawt.org/join.

INDUSTRY CATALOG DISCOUNT

NAWT has formed a relationship with associate member USABlueBook offering a one-time discount to NAWT members. The catalog and Web-based company is offering members a 10-percent coupon on the purchase of any products. Members received notification of the offer in their renewal letters and qualified for the coupon if their checks arrived by Jan. 30. Anyone joining NAWT in 2009 will receive the coupon in the membership package.

USABlueBook also offers a 200-page wastewater operator companion manual. It includes formulas, conversion factors and answers to questions such as how many gallons in a cubic foot and how much sewage goes down a 4-inch pipe? NAWT, working with USABlueBook, modified the operator companion, making it more relevant to our industry.
