The Denali and Century Series restroom trailers, made by Forest River Inc. for Alpha Mobile Solutions, offer one-man setup and interiors aimed at handling large crowds at special events or disaster-response sites.
The low-profile Denali stands 10 feet, 2 inches tall from ground level to the top of the roof-mounted air-conditioning/heating unit, and is 8 feet wide and 24 feet long. The aluminum, bonded-seam body features separate entrance and exit doors located on opposite sides, which enhance traffic flow by minimizing user bottlenecks, says Gene Jackson, general manager of Alpha Mobile Solutions.
“Customers like it because they’re not bumping into one another as they come in and out,” Jackson says. “With a steady stream of people entering the trailer, it helps to have separate exit doors.”
The tandem-axle trailer can be easily towed by most 3/4-ton pickup trucks. It features platform landings with handrails outside all four doors, which provide safer entry and exit than a typical 10-inch step, Jackson says.
Inside, the unit offers solid-surface countertops with solid color throughout, enabling contractors to buff out scrapes and scuffs.
The pedal-flush toilets and self-flushing urinals, which save water and promote good hygiene, are made of durable porcelain. The stainless steel sinks feature water-conserving, automatic shut-off faucets. The interior also features shatterproof mirrors, trash receptacles, non-skid rubber flooring, tissue and paper towel dispensers, lockable cabinet doors and hot water heaters.
Additional features include folding aluminum steps, crank-down stabilizing jacks, a 750-gallon wastewater tank, a 200-gallon freshwater tank, a standard 110-volt extension cord outlet, a standard water hose connection, a standard 3-inch banjo waste tank cleanout connection, amber LED porch lights, a standard 2 5/16-inch ball hitch with adjustable tongue and sand pad, freshwater and wastewater tank monitors and a weatherproof coating on the trailer frame.
The low-profile Century Series of private restroom trailers come in several configurations, ranging in size from two to five rooms. Some models are equipped with showers. They share many of the Denali’s features and equipment.
