Vermeer Acquires Maxi Drill Manufacturer
Vermeer Corp. has acquired the operating assets of Horizontal Rig & Equipment of Conroe, Texas. HRE produces three drills with pullback forces of 500,000, 750,000 and 1 million pounds. Production will be moved to Vermeer’s Pella, Iowa, location with distribution through the company’s global dealer network. The drills will carry the Vermeer brand name.
Ameri-Can Appoints Andrews Sales Administrator
Mandi Andrews has been appointed sales administrator for Ameri-Can Engineering. She will be responsible for the coordination of all sales quotes, processing and assistance in the selection of custom-built sanitation trailers. She brings 10 years of restroom design and sales to her position.
TOICO Acquires GMF Co., Expands Sales Staff
TOICO Industries has acquired GMF Co. of Johnstown, Pa., and added sales representative Tom Edwards to its staff. Edwards has 30 years of experience in the portable sanitation industry. He will be responsible for sales and customer service in the Northeast United States. The company also has tripled warehouse capacity, moving to a facility at 1439 Londonderry Drive, Woodstock, Ga.
RIDGID Presents Video Contest
RIDGID is celebrating the launch of its new membership site (www.teamridgid.com) with a video contest, “How I Build my Reputation with RIDGID Tools.” Customers are invited to record and post an original 1- to 3-minute video illustrating how they built their reputation with RIDGID tools. The contest ends April 30. Five finalists will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Cleveland, to tour the RIDGID headquarters. The grand prize winner will receive $2,500 in RIDGID tools.
