Judges and lawmakers are stepping up efforts to protect the privacy of employees. Here are three suggestions for avoiding legal landmines as privacy rights continue to expand: Lock up all sensitive employee data, initiate an Internet, e-mail and telephone use policy and know the limits on drug testing.
