Holding the Line on Fleet Costs

Without a doubt, the price of fuel and insurance put fleet costs hand-in-hand with labor as the highest operational expenses pumpers face. So how do contractors keep a top-notch fleet while containing those costs? Reminding drivers to go slow and keep safety uppermost in mind is how Tony Ferreira, president of United Septic Systems in Bedford Hills, N.Y., deals with it.
