Manufacturers serving the portable sanitation industry introduced innovations when the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport Show opened today. The biggest trade show in wastewater services is a favored venue to unveil new products. Here's a sampling of new offerings a big crowd of attendees had a chance to look over:

T.S.F. Co. Inc. brought a lifting bracket designed to carry its 90-gallon two-place sink on high-rise construction sites. The safety orange bracket is constructed from 1/4-inch by 2-inch flat bar with a 1/4-inch lifting cable, which cradles and balances fully loaded sinks. The product was built in response to OSHA concerns about lifting sinks.

PolyPortables showed the Axxis restroom built on the company's Standard and Integra models. The new front panel design utilizes a new compact self-closing hinge tested to exceed 300,000 open/close cycles, heavy-duty rotary latch, deep ambidextrous door pulls with grips, a re-engineered door frame, and full-length door that eliminates the need for a threshold.

Armal introduced the G-Wave restroom made from 90 percent post-consumer recycled material. The gunmetal gray injection-molded unit satisfies contractors seeking a greener product or for sale in countries that require use of recycled products. The unit features a solar light.

Five Peaks showed off the new smooth-sided Glacier II restroom in a variety of colors. The unit includes the standard features along with an easy-to-clean and graffiti-resistant design with flat interior and exterior panels. The unit has deep molded-in grab handles on all four corners.

ART Co. parked its new Cellar restroom trailer model on the exhibit floor. The Cellar features a rustic barn wood design on the doors and cabinets, as well as corrugated steel accent walls. The unit on display is the 20-foot Model 207 with four toilets for women and one toilet and two urinals for men.
